I am having a great time here at the I Teach K conference! I've seen some great presenters, gotten lots of great ideas, taken tons of pictures and spent WAY too much money!!!!! One booth was selling all their childrens books and puppets for 50% off! My kinda booth! Its great to meet up with K teachers from other states. So far I hold the record for biggest class size - 32! I'm so jealous when I hear class sizes of 24!
Tomorrow is the last day, which is a good thing. My brain is full!

It's Karen. I couldn't figure out how to sign in, so I'm anonymous. Can't wait to hear all about it!
ReplyDeleteOMG that is crazy... i only had 18 this last year. How do you do it? Do you have an aide to help you out.
ReplyDeleteThe I Teach K in Vegas was AWESOME! I got to go too! I learned lots of new things! Wow 32 kids I can't imagine I have 21 and no aide and that gets crazy hectic at times!

Marisol, I don't have an aide but sometimes I get a college tutor a couple of mornings or afternoons a week. Depends on her schedule. What helps is that they are staggered: half come at 8:00 and the second half comes at 10:15. I have 32 for about an hour and a half. Crazy time! Then the first group goes home at 12:00 and the second group goes home at 2:30. Makes for a long day! We used to have 20 once upon a time! But then, budget cuts!
